FREE HOME ENERGY EDUCATION FOR HBPW CUSTOMERS
Our Free Lightbulb Program has helped thousands of Holland Board of Public Works (HBPW) customers save electricity by upgrading to LEDs.
We are so excited to announce a brand new project that will take savings even further for Holland, Michigan residents.
But first, we need to explain the Holland Energy Fund (HEF). The HEF is a highly innovative nonprofit partnership between the City of Holland, Holland Board of Public Works, and Michigan Saves (a nonprofit bank) that typically focuses on major energy retrofits. HEF seeks to make Holland "a world-class leader in energy security, affordability, sustainability, and efficiency."
Although they still have funding for bigger projects, the HEF is now also offering free Home Energy 101 Education sessions to all HBPW customers who live within the City of Holland. These education sessions will be conducted by the Outdoor Discovery Center, Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity, Ottawa County Community Action Agency, and GreenHome Institute.
As a bonus, each customer will also receive a customized energy efficiency kit after their session. These kits will contain goodies like showerheads, spray foam insulation, weather stripping, and more. (Yes, also free!)
These simple, effective, and DIY-friendly items will be chosen directly for each home, based on their specific needs. And guess who's delivering those kits? That's right, GPG will be back on your doorstep bringing you more free products!
Customers can sign up for this program by visiting hollandenergyfund.com/apply. This is a great deal for Holland BPW customers who are also City of Holland residents. Cheers to more energy-saving programs!
