Boost Your Home’s Efficiency with the MiHER Program in Holland*!
*The Michigan Home Energy Rebate (MiHER) program is rolling out across the entire state of Michigan on April 14.
Holland homeowners, you don’t have to wait. Now’s the perfect time to take advantage of this incredible opportunity for home energy upgrades!
What is MiHER?
MiHER is a state-run program designed to help Michigan residents improve home energy efficiency through upgrades like air sealing, insulation, heat pumps, and other high-efficiency appliances. The best part? Energy audits—which normally cost up to $750—are 100% covered by EGLE (Michigan’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy). Plus, depending on your income, you could qualify for significant rebates that drastically reduce or even eliminate the cost of upgrades.
Do You Qualify?
Residents earning below 150% of the Area Median Income (AMI) are eligible for financial assistance—and if you’re below 80% AMI, you could get all or most of your upgrades paid for! Not sure where you stand? Check your AMI here, or go right to the numbers. (If you go right to the numbers, look for your county and focus on the first grouping of numbers in the “income” section.)
